Flour Prices Again!
Organic stone ground whole wheat flour costs 25% more this week than last! Another 25ยข on a loaf of bread… sorry, but we all have to pay for the problems of the world climate changes and ethanol production…
In the meantime, we’re having fun playing with puff pastry this week. (We are selling it in 16 – 20 ounce pieces so you can impress folks at home). Biscotti are in the works. The Coconut Cream Tarts, and ones with chocolate, are going well.
Yesterday’s Baker’s Choice bread was a real subtle delight: sweetened with honey and dotted with raisins kissed with orange blossom water. Toast… mmmmm.
