Article: Bubby Roses's Bakery: What it Takes

What it Takes

The Baristi of Bubb Roses Bakery brew one wicked Latte!
Did you know that the person who greets you here is more than just a welcome smile?

Bubby Rose’s front-end employees often get to know your name and often more about you.

They must:

Work with FOODSAFE principals in mind
Learn to make GREAT coffee
Cut, tray, wrap and display product to meet high standards
Serve long lines of customers and keep their orders in order
Prepare food and re-heat food
Slice bread, grill sandwiches and bake the pizzas
Bring food & drinks to tables as necessary
Sweep, mop, clean and wash dishes
Handle recycling and remove garbage
Clear and clean tables
Re-stock pop. towel & toilet paper, soap dispensers, retail shelves, sugar, stir sticks, etc., etc.
Take leftover food to the food banks

All this, often without a break! Then, many leave to study or go home to cook a meal for a family… just to let you know.

Thanks for listening and, your feedback is always appreciated,
Valerie, Mark, and Staff

Visiting BubbyRoses is less like visiting a Bakery and more like winning tickets to a Broadway show… or a Ballet. You never know what is going to happen – you do know that everything is going to taste good.
