Life on the Street
Today we “unveiled” our new French Baguette to rave reviews. Crispy-crusted and about 16 inches long, it will do just fine with a plate of cheese and a bottle of wine. On the other hand, it will make a wonderful garlic bread/toast…
Out on the street by Bubby 2, I passed out samples of our Flourless Dark Chocolate Torte – always a winner. That was fun. I used to do this often at the original location where there is more foot traffic.
Cook Street Village has been dealt a nasty blow by the developer of the properties on Cook Street at Sutlej Street through to the next street south. After demolishing a building with a vibrant mix of tenants two years ago, and then putting the Food Country grocery store in a position whereby it made sense for them to close down one year before their lease ran out, Max Tomaszewski and his Amadon Group, have put the entire property up for sale.
In the meantime, the area feels like a has-been. Sad.
